thumbs_litquake-gold_Exciting news!

Kevin J. Cunningham will be a part of this year’s Lit Crawl in San Francisco, reading from his novel To Hell With Fate, or Why The Best Valentine’s Gifts Come From Mini-Marts along with award-winning and best-selling authors!

Lit Crawl is the annual end of the LitQuake festival, a three-hour pub-crawl and celebration of literature in the heart of San Francisco.  Taking place on October 18th, 2014, Lit Crawl in San Francisco attracts up to 10,000 people who enjoy a night of drink and words, many words.  And it’s all free!

Kevin’s publisher Untreed Reads was selected from 120 submitting groups to host one of the many venues that will be used, though the venue is to be revealed later.  From 6:30-7:30 pm, the Untreed Reads venue will host some amazing writers getting a chance to read from their works to the crowd.  The lineup includes:

Sam Barry, on behalf of the late Kathi Kamen Goldmark

Kathi Kamen Goldmark was a San Francisco literary landmark.  Author of And My Shoes Keep Walking Back To YouKathi was honored as a San Francisco Library Laureate and a recipient of the Women’s Naitonal Book Association Award.  She also started the rock band Rock Bottom Remainders, which has featured dozens of literary greats among its contributors.  Her second novel, Her Wild Oats, is currently available for pre-order from Untreed Reads.

Unfortunately, Kathi passed away in 2012.  Representing her at LitQuake will be her husband Sam Barry.  Sam is an author and musician.  He wrote the book How To Play The Harmonica: And Other Life Lessons and co-wrote Write That Book Already! The Tough Love You Need to Get Published Now with Kathi.

Judith Greber (a.k.a. Gillian Roberts)

Gillian Roberts is the New York Times Bestselling Author of the Amanda Pepper series of mystery novels, among other novels.  However, she is also Judith Greber, who also wrote four other books where no one dies.  We aren’t sure exactly which author will be showing up for LitQuake, but either one should be amazing!  You can buy her Amanda Pepper books here.

Pat Murphy

Pat Murphy won two Nebula Awards in the same year, one for her novel The Falling Woman, and another for her novelette Rachel In Love.  Along the way, Points of Departure won the Philip K. Dick award and Bones won the World Fantasy Award.  As if that wasn’t enough, she spent her free time working at the San Francisco Exploratorium where she published several non-fiction books as part of the staff.  You can buy several of her books direct from Untreed Reads here.

Robin F. Gainey

Robin is the author of the novel Jack of Hearts, a piece of literary fiction in which a small aristocratic dog named Shimoni leads us on a journey about fidelity and honor in the Italian culture.  Aside from her writing, she partnered in the creation of The Gainey Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, and helped oversee the breeding of award-winning Arabian Horses started by her family at Gainey Fountainhead Arabians.

Kevin J. Cunningham

Kevin has absolutely no idea what he’s doing sharing a stage with these other authors.  His first novel, To Hell With Fate, or Why The Best Valentine’s Gifts Come From Mini-Marts, was published in 2012 by Untreed Reads.  In addition to this, Kevin writes the webcomic The Lunatic Fringe, about the fans of the San Francisco Giants and the team they root for and spent 10 years covering minor league baseball before that.

Kevin and everyone else hopes you will be able to make their venue at Lit Crawl on October 18th, as well as checking out many other writers of all kinds that will be there!  Keep your eyes on UniquelyGeneric.net for updates on the activities as the time approaches!
